What is Sculptra and Facial Sculpting?
Facial sculpting is a great treatment, for restoring natural, and youthful appearance. It can only be done by qualified and highly skilled medical professionals, such as Dr Saliba. It is a treatment that is far less invasive than a face lift, and the results can last up to 2 years. Sculptra can be used for:
- Softening and smoothing frown lines in a non frozen, and natural way
- Replace lost volume, softening lines and wrinkles
- Enhance facial features and restore symmetry
- Define cheek bones or enhance your lips
Improve your skin quality and radiance
Sculptra contains a substance called PLLA (Poly-L-Lactic Acid and works by stimulating and revitalising natural collagen production.
Sculptra is injected deep into the skin with a fine needle and targeted at the areas in need of treatment. This stimulates natural collagen production.
Sculptra is an amazing treatment for restoring a youthful and natural looking appearance and great results are often achieved with a series of treatments. Each treatment may show subtle changes but can last longer than other methods – and in cases up to 24 months.
Generally, there is little downtime, although some bruising or swelling around the treated area can occur and last for up to a week. Dr Saliba and her team can advise of likely potential downtime that may affect your personal and social plans for instance.
Sculptra is a cosmetic procedure. It should only be performed by a doctor, or other highly qualified individual with certification in injectables and facial anatomy. There are various contraindications that must be identified before injection is undertaken. A thorough understanding of the facial muscle anatomy, complex vascular system, complications and how to manage such complications is mandatory for any injector. Not all areas of the face and not all people are good candidates for dermal or lip fillers. At Le Sands Clinic we pride ourselves on safe practice and excellent results. Dr Saliba has over 10 years experience in the use of dermal filling and lip injections at an advanced level. Dr Saliba will assess you in person, ensure there are no contraindications in your medical history and advise the best course of action to achieve your goals. Dr Saliba will perform the injections herself and deal with any issues that may arise. Contact the clinic for an initial free consultation with one of our skin care experts.
